After viewing many of the technology standards, I feel as if I could teach about the LAFS.910.W.2.6 standard. It is about teaching students the key board and how to use some software applications like Microsoft word. It also includes navigating site such as Skype and creating online blogs. I already have a good knowledge on these items. I also have many years of experience using all of these applications. So if I had to teach it, I feel my knowledge of the content would help me be able to teach it effectively. From looking over the other standards I feel that I would need more knowledge in post and artifact creators. I do not feel as if my knowledge on these would be good enough to teach others how to use it. I would want to be able to answer questions about it and with those I feel I could not do that. From the CPALMS website there are a lot of good material and lessons. From the tool kit I liked SS.912.A.1.2. This is about Primary and Secondary sources. These types of sources are critical for papers and for research on a topic. I have always used them in my education history so I know that it will be helpful and useful to teach it. These skills will help in college so it will be good to teach it to them while they are young so they can have an experience with using them. So since I have had history with it, that is why I feel it will be so important. Also it is on the CPALMS website so I see a great significance in it there. I enjoyed working on the newsletter design project. Most of the work to me were tasks that I already knew how to do. With that, I do not feel that I acquired any new set of skills. I like being able to get creative with it and make it the way I wanted too. I felt as if I was able to be in control over the content that went in it. I really liked having that freedom to do so. I did not like some of the items that were suppose to be included in it. I feel it could change by giving options on what should be added to the newsletter. What I learned can be used in the future for when I may decided to use a newsletter. I know what should be added and how to make it pleasing to look at. I feel it would be more effective and more students would read what is in it.
